THELMA is a game of generating your own soliloquies from the text of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, and positioning them in the context of the play. This act of recomposition can be performed by any number of players.

The playbook is available as a PDF and a screen reader-friendly text file. There is also a supplementary table for players using Open Source Shakespeare's edition of Hamlet, available in PDF and CSV format.

If you have generated a soliloquy with THELMA that you wish to post online, please link back to this page for reference. (And tell me, so I can read it!)

Cover image is Hamlet's Vision, by Pedro Américo, made freely available on Wikimedia Commons.

This work was created on Aboriginal land in the Eora Nation. Sovereignty was never ceded.
